AI media. Deep tech.We raise the capital. We build it from zero.

Deep technology for AI-driven media, private AI you own, and the capital behind the build.

Principal-led, from the first meeting to the close.

Spotlight

AI-driven media and content production

Ram Venkat was CFO and COO of Talespin, the virtual reality learning company Cornerstone OnDemand acquired in March 2024. The practice leads with that record: VR titles at volume, AI characters inside them, and the pipeline that shipped both.

Ram Nexus brings that record to the technology and the capital behind a build.

Where the practice sits

Practice areas

Four practice areas, one team

Every mandate opens on two questions: what has to be built, and which risk decides the outcome. Creation and delivery sit alongside strategic, funding, growth, acquisition, and market risk, and each one needs a different instrument.

All four run through Being Human, the studio behind the practice. That is where the engineers, designers, and operators come from when a mandate needs more than one pair of hands.

01 // Media

AI-driven media and content production

We build interactive and immersive content end to end: games, simulations, and spatial worlds, with AI characters and narrative inside a pipeline built to ship at volume.

  • Game, simulation, and interactive title development, from concept to shipped build
  • Virtual reality and spatial content for headsets, desktop, and streaming
  • AI characters, voice, and branching narrative that react to the user
  • Authoring tools, gamification, and a pipeline that ships a full catalogue
02 // Transformation

AI-native transformation

We rebuild the operating layer around AI, then build the systems that were missing: agents, data architecture, and internal tools your team runs every day.

  • Operating diagnostic: where the work slows and what to build first
  • Agent and workflow design wired into the systems you already run
  • Data architecture that compounds as the business grows
  • Internal tools built and shipped, then adopted by the team that uses them
03 // Capital

Capital and corporate finance

We sit on your side of the table for the transaction that sets the next decade: the raise, the sale, the defence, the recapitalisation.

  • Equity, debt, convertible, and hybrid capital across the stack
  • Buy-side and sell-side transactions, takeover and defence mandates
  • Derivative-based funding and capital structuring solutions
  • Board and investor materials that survive real diligence
04 // Infrastructure

Private AI infrastructure

For the work that cannot leave the building. We stand up AI infrastructure you own, running open models next to your own data.

  • Hardware you own, from desk side to rack scale, on premise or colocated
  • Open models chosen per task and swapped without rebuilding the stack
  • Retrieval and agents over your documents, with a full audit trail
  • Fixed cost per token, and no data leaving your perimeter

Private AI

Your models. Your hardware. Your data stays put.

Regulated industries, defence-adjacent programmes, and live deal data share one constraint: the information cannot go into someone else's cloud.

Economics

Fixed cost per token

Capital and power replace a metered bill that grows with your success.

Control

Nothing to renegotiate

No vendor reprices the stack, and no model is retired out from under your workflow.

We run this ourselves before we hand it to anyone. The architecture is proven, the failure modes are known, and the cost per token is a number rather than an estimate.

Your perimeter
  • Hardware

    Machines you own

On premise or colocated. Desk side through to rack scale.

  • Models

    Open weights, swappable

Chosen per task, served behind one standard endpoint.

  • Data

    Retrieval and agents

Indexed over your own documents. Every call is audited.

Your team, across your own network

No path out to a public model API. Your prompts, documents, and deal data never leave.

The practice

Who you are actually working with

Ram Venkat ran the content studio, the production pipeline, and the AI systems inside the titles at Talespin, then carried the company through its sale to Cornerstone OnDemand in March 2024. Ram Nexus carries that operating record into every mandate, principal-led throughout. Being Human, the studio he co-founded, supplies the engineers, designers, and operators when the work needs more hands.

Talespin

Operating record

COO of Talespin, 2021 to the acquisition

Talespin sold immersive learning in virtual reality: interactive titles, AI virtual humans, and a no-code engine customers used to build their own. Ram ran it as COO from 2021 to the Cornerstone OnDemand acquisition in March 2024, holding content production, engineering, the VR and spatial pipeline, the studio and vendor bench, and the finance function.

  • Title catalogue

A full library of branching, game-based scenarios and simulation titles.

  • VR production pipeline

Every title shipped to Oculus Quest headsets, desktop streaming, and desktop apps from one pipeline.

  • AI characters

CoPilot virtual humans reacted to a learner's voice and choices, and scored the conversation live.

  • Engineering and vendors

The engineering team and the vendor bench behind the catalogue ran under him, from headcount and budget to schedule.

  • Finance through the exit

He ran finance and operations through the Series C and the March 2024 acquisition by Cornerstone OnDemand.

Under Ram the studio shipped a catalogue of branching interactive titles and simulations, covering negotiation, difficult conversations, and leadership, alongside hard-skill process training such as water-damage inspection. He owned the pipeline that produced them: writing and interaction design, 3D and environment production, the CoPilot virtual-human layer that let characters react to a learner's voice, and the release schedule that put finished work in front of PwC, Accenture, and Farmers Insurance.

Before Talespin, Ram spent over a decade in bulge-bracket investment banking at Citi Global Markets and across Wall Street. He started as an Electrical and Computer Engineer, designing microchips and integrated circuits for NASA deep-space missions and Department of Defense satellite programmes, then commercialising novel space technology under the Canadian Space Agency Space Technology Development Program. Both periods share the same focus: designing something from the start, then building the system that produces it repeatedly.
